About
About Margarita
I created Teacher on Wheels because I enjoy expanding my services beyond my own classroom and be able to help more children. For the last twelve years I have taught over 160 children in general education and with varying exceptionalities. I enjoy the challenge of discovering how the student processes and manipulates the information given. Being able to provide them with strategies that make them master fundamental concepts is what drives me to teach everyday. I seek to solve and improve the student's foundation while inspiring motivation. To do so you need the right balance of technique, experience, and personality.
As an educator I am dynamic, energetic, and creative. Therefore, my teaching methods are didactic, colorful, aromatic, musical, and eloquent. Stimulating all the senses is essential to motivate the innate curiosity of a child. Once that motivation to learn independently comes from within the child, there is no stop on what I can teach. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to inspire students to utilize their interest and abilities with confidence and continuity.
I also believe positive reinforcement is the key to success for all student. Because of my ample amounts of patience, perseverance, and empathy I am able to pinpoint a student's academic and behavioral frustrations with ease. I then find the appropriate strategy to help them manage their difficulties. To see the results of my program check out what some of my students and parents have commented.
